The method and process of making biodiesel by transesterification and the study of optimum condition for making the highest yield of biodiesel are introduced.

The most commonly used method for preparation of biodiesel is transesterification of vegetable oils and animal fats via homogeneous base or acid catalysts.
In order to improve the lipase activity of the Rhizopus oryzae strain which is used for producing biodiesel fuel,ultraviolet mutation is employed in this research.

The characteristic of soapstock were described,its application in producing phosphatide,biodiesel fuel,fatty acid and so on were also discussed.
At present,countries around the world are setting off bio-diesel development and utilization.
